hi

im transfering large hd file desktop (ubuntu) laptop (crunchbang) through cross on cable , 100mbit connection speed

problem actual transfer speed 6mbyte. shouldnt 10mbyte/seg? 10m speed used when 2 computers windows

i've had slow usb speeds too. seems issue? know has been bug reported , discussed numerous times.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
