Thread: Ubuntu gets exceedingly slow and "crashes" when power unplugged. How do I disable PM

i'm running oneiric ocelot, when unplug laptop power things lock up, hard drive starts think hard, mouse still works , icons on desktop work no menus work.

how disable power management? think if that, fix problem.

i'm 99.9% of time plugged power, , once in while need unplug, running 100% performance while unplugged won't dangerous me.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
