URGENT trouble pdf attached to individual emails from word

hello, have acrobat xi pro , created word file fields imported automatically excel sheet. works perfect. have pdf maker generate individual emails individual pdf attachement. works , can see messages in outlook send box. problems after send emails :

- beneficiaries receive , attachement "winmail.dat" cannot open. if have outlook, can see file pdf , can open it.

- emails don't show in "sent" box of outlook or server.

i using outlook 2010 32bits , word 2010. windows.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
