captivate 6 timeline problem

i'm using cap 6 on mac , everytime move element in timeline - example, click , drag video clip 1 second left - when release mouse button complete drag, timeline display inexplicably jumps right minute or taking me away area of timeline working.

 

is there way can prevent happening? it's infuriating , extremely time consuming on big project.

please recreate preferences of captivate 6.

 

location captivate preferences folder is:

windows 7: c:\users\[user name]\appdata (hidden folder)\local\adobe\adobe captivate 6 folder

           windows xp:  c:\documents , settings\[user name]\local settings\application data\adobe\adobe captivate 6 folder

           mac:  /users/[user name]/library/preferences/adobe captivate 6 folder

 

you have close captivate 6 first , rename captivate 6 folder captivate 6_old.

then relaunch captivate , check whether fixes issue.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
