New Kobo how to authorise

i have new kobo. had authorised old kobo digital editions & read books library. cannot authorise new kobo. in settings shows under adobe authorisation "not signed in".in adobe digital editions shows "this computer authorised". how authorise new kobo digital editions?

i'm bit unsure asking, couple of questions , tentative suggestions.

 

is kobo tablet (which authorized within tablet app) or ereader (which authorized ade on pc)?

 

in adobe digital editions shows "this computer authorised"

presumably computer authorised already, there no need authorize again.

if kobo ereader device, should trying 'authorize device', not 'authorize computer'.

 

i assume have 1 adobeid?  if trying use different 1 on new kobe, cause problems.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
