Thread: Cannot install add-ons in firefox if logged in as a NIS user


i using ubuntu 11.10 (64bit) , want install add-ons in firefox. logged in nis (network information service) user home partition mounted via nfs. if click on e.g. install dictionary, download begins, finishes , nothing happens anymore. local user works fine, dialog appears after download , installed should be.
have change or check? there workaround?
can please help?

i have no experience nis, try save extension first, right-clicking install button, open xpi file firefox.
