Thread: Dedicated Emulation PC

i looking @ building emulation pc. essentially, use ubuntu, variety of emulators, , 4 or usb controllers, connected computer tv make home emulator computer.

want set ubuntu, @ startup automatically opens front end (maybe http://sourceforge.net/projects/emufe/) allow launching of emulators , games.

wanted know, there similar projects have seen? have searched around, , maybe didnt use right phrase... couldn't find anything.

furthermore, there reason ubuntu bad idea this?

i'm not sure how works or how easy set (for emulators), xbmc can launch emulators specific games. can scrape artwork games iirc.

gives nice media centre front end if wanted stick music/videos on same box.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
