hello,

have msi h55m-e33 board ubuntu 10.04 lts.
cpu fan permanently on , control not work. use sensors-detect (only positiv messages):

trying family `via/winbond/nuvoton/fintek'... yes
found `fintek f71889fg super io sensors' success!
(address 0xa00, driver `f71882fg')
...
probing `edid eeprom'... yes
(confidence 8, not hardware monitoring chip)
...

load needed, add /etc/modules:

have installed f71882fg driver on hard drive at:
/lib/modules/2.6.32-36-generic/kernel/drivers/hwmon/f71882fg.ko
when i: modprobe -v f71882fg got:
insmod /lib/modules/2.6.32-36-generic/kernel/drivers/hwmon/f71882fg.ko
fatal: error inserting f71882fg (/lib/modules/2.6.32-36-generic/kernel/drivers/hwmon/f71882fg.ko): no such device

mean sensors-detect found device,
driver doesnt? else can do?

the version in lucid might old. f71882fg first appeared in kernel 2.6.33 according lm-sensors site. try building own module: http://khali.linux-fr.org/devel/misc/f71882fg/

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
