Thread: Hdmi fonts blurry

i using 22 samsung 1080p hdtv/monitor. when connected hdmi fonts on ubuntu 10.04 , previous have been blurry , hard on eyes. tried every setting , font think of , resolved issue following these steps on monitor/tv. renaming hdmi input pc , works

press "source" button.
highlight hdmi input.
press "tools" -> edit name -> , using scrolling (up & down keys on ur remote), select "pc" or "dvi pc" hdmi.

taking time put here. did trick samsung 32" 1080p hdtv being used ubuntu media center , living room pc. fonts driving crazy.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
