Thread: new linux convert, brother installed 11.10

over christmas holiday, installed 11.10 on toshiba laptop.
impressed. did use gnome-shell.
installed vbox , win7 , says ubuntu has gotten thousand times better couple years ago.

loaded think of , kids using it. hope sticks it. impressed run win7 virtualized instant start , stop of os.
, works on laptop, webcam too.

item not make work 'eyefi' memory card in camera. there info out there people have gotten work, not easy. mainlined in future?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
