Thread: Playing flv video causes kernal panic

i running ubuntu 11.10 few changes standard installation , using get_iplayer version 2.79-2. when watching downloaded flv files using movie player after few minutes video freezes , sound repeat short loop or screen switches text display bottom line displaying "panic occurred, switching text console". please have advice how prevent happening or how rescue computer after has occurred.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
