have linuxmint 11 64bits. intel classic series motherboard (eg35ec) onboard sound not working.
have tried thread:

, after steps, got this:

wird part is, after un installing , re installing header modules , alsa stuff, still can't open alsamixer:
alsamixer
can't detect onboard sound:code:cannot open mixer: no such file or directory
but:code:aplay -l aplay: device_list:240: no soundcards found...
and:code:lspci -v | grep -i audio 00:1b.0 audio device: intel corporation 82801h (ich8 family) hd audio controller (rev 02)
i not have /proc/asound file.code:aplay -l default playback/recording through pulseaudio sound server pulse playback/recording through pulseaudio sound server
i added line:code:cat /proc/asound/car*/co* | grep codec cat: /proc/asound/car*/co*: no such file or directory
to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf can see here: http://pastebin.com/liduklwwcode:options snd-hda-intel model=-snd-hda-intel
, still nothing!
how can fix issue?
need onboard sound.
