Thread: Who is apples target market?

i thought people wanted basic computing tasks browsing email etc. but, when think why spend price of mac simple stuff this? modern os capable of doing this. because has pretty case? certiainly people aren't stupid enough overpay because has pretty case? because os better? if i'm honest myself have admit windows 7 kicks *** usablilty standpoint , linux customizable can pretty set anyway want. os isn't great justify price difference in opinion. apps? can play certian proffessions but, of can cover needs in windows/linux. if os isn't overwhelmingly awesome, hardware pretty same internally shiny case, , applications can run on aren't can't replaced on windows/linux box compels people buy them? aesthetiss can compel people pay premium product people think long , hard before spending on $1000.

there few things know mac os without ever using or machines runs on:

1. ppl buy status - "cool" kids got ipod (from expirience in everyday school life)

2. macos best professional photo editing (professional photoshop)

3. apple products have slick design

guess status , quality/design of products thats getting them sold. highly doubt uses mac professional photo/video editor...


note: personal opinion.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
