Font size inconsistant when creating text layer in batch job

hi,

 

using photoshop cs6 on mac, seeing problem 1 of batch processing sript who's task apply embossed water mark images have resized such longest side 500px. (short side varies depending on how have cropped).

 

in cases, piece of text adding image appears fine. no apparent reason, apply text (which have set 24pt) , way big. address issue, have reduce font size (via actions pallate) down far 8 pt. starts appear more or less correctly (for while) until maybe few weeks later when open photoshop run job again , 8 pt font way small , have bump 24 pt again.

 

i have no idea doing cause behavior. never mess around batch job other fix problem when occurs.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
