how to completely render an image inactive?

either in background, watermark, button or other mode.

when put image in background no matter mode use , end clickable image changes color of pdf.
if lock it...then no other buttons work.
see link image upload function not work on forum...

adding button going clickable. , overlapped buttons unpredictable, no way put background behind buttons.

 

is full page image want add interactive form behind existing form elements? in pdf otherwise blank?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
