Magical jumping text?

i have spent 4 hours after enlarging button size try figure out why button text fine in design mode when preview mode selected text jumps left.

 

to me looks paragraph style being changed center left when go design mode still @ center.

 

it's driving me nuts.

 

any thoughts on may causing this?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
