Quality of NEF conversion/demosaicization in Camera Raw

hi everyone,

please, have question experts image  quality of nikon d7100's nef files opened in camera raw.

i have examined d7100 nef file, loaded in camera raw 7.4, , if magnified @ higer zoom possible see maybe troubles in demosaicing.

you can see inclined lines demosaicized in  blocks of 2x2 pixels. true regardless of sharpness settings.

when open file in nikon capturenx2 problem not present.

the file downloaded site dpreview, test shoot camera comparative.
i have noticed same thing, more or less, opening other nef files (from nikon d7000, d5200, d3200 except d800).

with issue, seems not taken advantage of resolving  power of lens or sensor resolution.

 

i ask if problem or if there setting/configuration manage it.

yes, noticed issue on various canon compacts while ago. remembering, introduced (or worsened) algorithm change pv2003 pv2010, not quite sure. there's nothing can i'm afraid.

there no perfect demosaicking method - 1 better in conditions , worse in other ...

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
