Thread: 11.10 server network disconnects

i have been running ubuntu server time, sharing out drives home network file shares. seemed fine until replaced 250gb drive in macbook pro ssd drive.

began moving large amounts of files around network, , server, (afp mounts smb windows machines) began notice disconnects server. appears fine until start move bunch of data (10gb or more) take time move.

began research problem, dawns on me have (within last 4 months or so) added gig ethernet card server increase speed of moving files within wired gig network. "seemed" working great unless causing problem.

question this, bargin basement ($15.00) generic nic causing these problems? if so, aside replacing (which happy do) how can prove this?

upgraded 10.11 hoping solve problem still there. run netatalk on server allow time-machine backups.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
