i freed old desktop in home , decided turn ubuntu home server. far have samba, ushare (movies on xbox), , deluge running on it. desktops run windows 7 , dual boot ubuntu 11.10 desktop. wondering else use old dell for. looking @ firefly itunes , debating whether or not change ushare else, since rather basic. let me know think current setup , things add.

hardware-
pentium dual core (need double check)
1.25 gb ram
75 gb hdd

ps: weird graphical error on screen after grub menu when starts boot. installed fine, grub menu's fine, ubuntu text unreadable blocks. not problem since use putty everything.

for high speed home server use bigger hard drive setup sounds fine ubuntu, server self, have no idea running servers through mac, works me...

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
