Thread: host video settings for Vista VM not working as they should

i've been running virtualbox 4.1.6, installed website on first natty oneiric. had win 7-64 vm working great on host when had 8gb ram, had trim down 4gb, 64 bit vm out of question.
i've got vista machine now, built 3d acceleration , 256mb of video ram. trouble is, vista vm thinks has 24mb, non-3d accelerated video.
have suggestions?

as update: had installed guest additions, not "experminental" 3d acceleration. booting safe mode , re-installing guest additions worked ok. think solved, sort of.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
