Thread: how to convert and add ntfs to ext4

hi,
have both window7 , ubuntu 10.04 installed on pc.
have 19gb ntfs partition want convert ext4 , add ubuntu ext4 partition.

in system >> adminstration >> disk utility

there option of deleting, edit file system , format volume,
confused convert , add ntfs partition ext4

you need 2 partitions want amalgamate side side want; if not have move partition between them end of disk. possible can long winded do, possibly taking hours. either should boot live ubuntu cd/usb , use gparted that, can not act on linux partition while mounted.

if not sure of this, copy screenshot of gparted window here, , should possible give more recommendations.
