Thread: Linux Noob Wine Help

so im linux noob , have takin liking os. have ubuntu 11.10 installed xfce. tried gnome , kde best me found.
have couple questions cant seem resolve. first have project64 (nintendo64 emulator) installed , want use xbox 360 controller play games with. works fine in windows, when go , macro controller buttons in linux program crashes. sees controller wont allow me macro buttons in program itself.

second question have emulator program , wine. .exe file no install. there way can force wine open file every time click on it, without having right-click , open wine?

help, im liking ubuntu far.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
