Thread: Mounting Win7 shared drive issue

i have ubuntu box running in windows lan. ubuntu box has following line in /etc/fstab:

code:
//192.168.47.130/data    /hqserver    cifs      credentials=/etc/cifspw,iocharset=utf8,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777     0       0
this has been working fine weeks. purpose mounting make backups of windows folder.

however, reason mount disconnected, or dropped, or something. no longer have access windows share @ linux location /hqserver . ran mount -a command , there no output -- no errors, nothing. pinged windows server @ 192.168.47.130 , reachable. did "ls -alf" on root , output /hqserver location

code:
d?????????   ? ?      ?        ?                ? hqserver/
then "cd" /hqserver , "ls -alf" gives me:

code:
ls: cannot access .: cannot allocate memory  total 4  d?????????  ? ?    ?       ?                ? ./  drwxr-xr-x 25 root root 4096 2011-12-19 07:01 ../
what heck going on!?

i found this discussion precisely same issue.
