Thread: Nautilis -- not working

how can delete couple of files in root in etc/init.d ?

tried nautilis (sp?) , prompted password , still permission denied.

tried terminal, going init.d folder , using rm , still no go.

if can't solved i'll have reinstall because have program autostarting want rid of.

thanks. using lubuntu have it?

i'm linux novice -- please make easy if can.

use mc (sudo apt-get install mc). of course need run mc sudo in terminal. can same thing nautilus. if want remove 1 file in root folder type following in terminal: sudo rm /path/to/file

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
