Thread: Problems with synaptic package manager in ubuntu 11.10

every time try download package package manager, comes error messages saying has failed fetch packages , forces me stop download. i've tried on different packages , still nothing. tried run 'sudo' commands given on many websites , come same error message. appreciated.

assuming there no problem internet connection, first thought try downloading different server.

not sure on 11.10, though 11.04 administration -> software sources change 'download from:' other source.


can post exact error please ?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
