Thread: Question about installing Ubuntu with Wubi.

hello,
install ubuntu 11.10 wubi onto partition data (pictures, music, etc.) on it. question is: if install ubuntu onto partition, erase data on already?
in advance!

wubi not erase @ all. wubi install other windows program, takes hard drive space. difference can boot it...

because ubuntu wubi install treated normal windows program, can delete system settings -> uninstall software

wubi installation people want try out ubuntu not want mess partitions or make live cd/usb boots time.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
