Thread: Ubuntu installation problem ?

i have pc hp pavilion a4327: amd athlon ii 240 dual core, 4gb ram, onboard gpu geforce 6150se, when install ubuntu on graphic card went , bought new radeon hd 6570 gpu , when tried use ubuntu on cd, screen said "stopping system v runlevel compatibility". if install on pc, screen keep flashing , cannot logon computer, think ubuntu not support gpu, please !!!

what version of ubuntu? did install video driver? if so, remove before install different video card.

might need disable on-board video in bios.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
