Thread: Using Testdisk Help!

hello all,

attempting re-partition hard drive updating 11.10. while using gparted accomplish this, froze , partition (which re-sizing) has big error sign. attempting use testdisk and, through deeper search, can see partition (media) , see files , that. when try rewrite table, doesn't seem write when restart it, same error shows.

if helps, think original layout
p - me (ntfs)
e
l - linux swap
l - media (ntfs)
p - / (ext 4)
p - /home (ext 4)

of course cannot make extended partition in testdisk wonder if not part of issue. idk, feel lost these, let me know can files back. help!

here results of "deeper search"...media 1 giving me issues , can list files seems intact...the second entry gives error of filesystem being unreadable
