Thread: VirtualBox, Direct X & Lineage 2

hey all,

i'm quit new in ubuntu. have 1 week. it's working great still want play lineage 2. why download/ installed virtual box. after few hours of looking on google came quit far. installed guest additions. every time start lineage 2 says need update direct x. when did keeps saying reason.

installed windows xp sp3 32bit on vb. gave 4gb ram (of 16gb), 2 of 16 cores, 256mb (of 2gb). main os ubuntu 10.10 64bit. reason had more problems 64bit version of xp took 32bit.

tried update direct x myself. launcher of ncsoft (maker of lineage 2) can it. after did says directly needs update again.

gaming works badly in virtual machine. direct x windows problem btw. if i'd go

virtualbox.org

have account there, ask perryg help. can tell you, going tell same thing. also, winblows, uninstalling , reinstalling direct x not bad idea if doesn't work. windows, when in doubt, uninstall , reinstall. blows doesn't it? when go vbox forums, make sure clear whether virtualizing in linux host or windows host

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
