not optimistic getting this, never know.

have app trying run in wine.
extremely specialized industry software, there no known discussion it.
program called metrix(2.7.1) made lithotechnics. http://www.lithotechnics.com/

fun, tried install on ubuntu computer @ work, , surprise, seems "technically" work perfect.

however, difficult use, because screen (in app) either goes black, or shows wallpaper.

if hover mouse on buttons, clear up, , if shrink app down top tool bar, expand, seems clear whole app.

once click on something, screen goes black again.

have similar problem photoshop cs5, thinking there may fix photoshop, fix this. not sure if related though.

settings in wine possibly remedy this?

tried every combination of settings on "graphics" tab under wine configuration no success.

have winetricks, i'm not sure how or it.

ideas appreciated.

any ideas?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
