What is a layered structured illustrator file?

im converting images vector images have asked can provide them in "layered structured illustrator file".

 

im relatively experienced illustrator , have never come across term before im assuming mean want ai. file layers maintained?

 

any appreciated.

this might "layers intact" "not traced drawn manually". depending on source files.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
