Feedback during action

i recorded action in cs5 manually moved cursor box around image and, using plug-ins, recorded values each location. in order provide feedback, before leaving each location did fill of cursor box. when run action, however, though takes several seconds fills shown @ once @ end. defeats purpose of doing fills.

 

as test, created stripped down action omitted plug-in measurements , did fills. same result.

 

what have tried:

 

o putting step (such switching foreground , background colors) after each fill step - same result.

 

o running action in other optimized mode (i forget exact language , not in front of computer now) - has desired result far seeing each fill separately, unfortunately slows things down each of other steps in measurement done slowly.

 

so there way have show each fill separately instead of @ once @ end?

turn on step-by-step execution in teh action palette's options instead of default optimized mode.
