Gallery created with ul in fluid grid layout

i'm trying create gallery of images (all same size) using dreamweaver 6 , fluid grid system. i'd images size , down browser window size go 1 across in mobile size, , 4 across depending on size of window, while mantaining padding. 

 

i have div directly inside .gridcontainer clearfix div, can't images within re-size. because fluid divs have directly in .gridcontainer clearfix? if so, there way around this?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
