MAN, I hate the labyrinthine way PSE 11 works! "Watch Folder Service" Error

man, hate labyrinthine way pse 11 works!  both in program itself, , in "support" section. stupid!  entered question 5 minutes ago, have enter on again. i've been trying find answer problem 5 months!  not "faster , easier find answer on-line." royal runaround! aaagh!

 

when launch photoshop elements 11 - organizer

1. box called elements organizer comes up, saying "updating." after long time, reaches 100%

2. box called watch folder service comes up, saying: "the watch folder service returned , error: message format, invalid tag id."

3. photoshop jammed. cannot until use ctrl-alt-del (windows task manager) shut down pse.

 

get me out of here!

restore default preferences

 

preference settings control how photoshop elements displays images, cursors, , transparencies, saves files, uses plug‑ins , scratch disks, , on. if application exhibits unexpected behavior, preferences file may damaged. can restore preferences defaults.

 

 

note:

deleting preferences file action cannot undone.

 

 

do 1 of following:

  • press , hold alt+control+shift (mac: option+command+shift) after photoshop elements begins launching. click yes delete adobe photoshop elements settings file.
  • go edit > preferences (mac: photoshop elements > preferences > general), click reset preferences on next launch button, , click ok. when restart adobe photoshop elements, preferences reset default settings.

 

a new preferences file created next time start photoshop elements. information on specific preference option, search preference name in help.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
