Thread: Buying an Ubuntu Laptop
so college student thickly decided build desktop gaming when left school , have gone laptop-less last 2 years of schooling. time has come laptop, think , i'd rather not have windows machine distract me while in class. i've toyed ubuntu , fedora bit on desktop , think i'd happy either of them primary os ever wary of hardware compatibility.
basically, there laptops can recommend around $500 mark? have been looking @ lenovo thinkpad edge e420 seems contain pretty decent hardware price ubuntu afraid i'll install os find speakers don't work or equally awful. considering system76 lemur ultra i'm not sure need pay $650 office application/web browsing tool, read review of older model of lemur stating had two-hour battery life, pathetic , totally counter needs.
advice have great, thanks.
