Thread: Canot Resize Partition
this first time using linux , ubuntu, try bear ignorance.
installed ubuntu using wubi installer windows.
while installing, chose installation size 1gb.
ubuntu version 11.10
had vista running previously, , dual boot.
vista on 110 gb hard disk. partitioned using disk management in windows make 30gb partition ubuntu.
so, ubuntu on 30gb partition. but, when try copy more 1 gb home/documents folder, says there no enough space. when check properties of home folder, shows 426.8mb of free space, , 556mb used space.
now, need increase size. cna tell me why have increase size when there 30gb available?
next, when restart computer after suspending it, error message of "low swap memory" shows up. now, found 1 way add swap partition using gparted here. downloaded gparted, after opening it, cannot use resize option. greyed / cannot click on choose it.
sorry not posting screnshot, coz still trying figure out how (prt sc not working...another issue :s)
btw, using hp mini 2133 netbook...everything else (wifi/bt/mic/speakers/webcam) working fine.
you confusing me or perhaps you, confused.
customary when partition hard disk make space ubuntu partition install ubuntu partition.
using wubi method install ubuntu have not installed ubuntu 30gb partition re-sized vista partition create. have done install ubuntu kind of windows program in folder in vista partition.
