hey all,

have toshiba external hard drive (ntfs) had purchased, plugged in , transfering files when accidentally bumped loose. ever since mount mount read , when try change permissions says "error setting permissions:read-only file system" going insane. feel missing simple. appreciated.

hi there plug in ex.harddrive , open terminal (ctrl + alt + t ) enter commands

sudo fdisk -l
paste here. have thought making ext3/4 ? gparted if sounds foreign , sure 1 iof not me shine in.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
