Thread: i can't download with my full internet speed in ubuntu

hi,

have installed ubuntu 11.10 , made updates. if try download file 100mbit site 10mbit connection can download 1-2mbit, tried download file same site in windows 7 , linux fedora , it's working fine. ubuntu interface , if connection work should use ubuntu.

, internet works not 20sec don't message disconnected, still shows i'm connected, downloads dropped, same happens during update , after 20sec works again, it's annoying.

more info: have 3 computers use same outgoing ip.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
