Thread: install utilities from live CD in 11.10

-

in previous versions, necessary me install ndiswrapper live cd after installing new version (the machine in question without internet connection until install necessary files cd, wireless driver). trying in 11.10. can find necessary files on live cd, but, life of me, can't figure out how install them. thought should able click them open software center or package manager, then, click install. 'install' greyed out. i've tried clicking permissions, seems have no effect.

advice appreciated.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
