Thread: Installed Radeon Driver and Locked out of Ubuntu

hello everyone,
using ubuntu x64 11.10 in hp pavilion g6-1037tx notebook.
working fine vga mode didn't recognize radeon 6470 hd graphics card.
then, downloaded radeon driver 11.12 website , installed it. working fine until turned off notebook.
when tried boot next day, laptop freezes in both normal mode , recovery mode. tried booting (previous versions) in boot menu, same problem.
can recover ubuntu without doing fresh installation.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
