Thread: Multiple Clicks per Actual Click

since updating ubuntu 11.10 oneiric linux 3.0.0-13 3.0.0-14 via. standard update manager updates yesterday, have been experiencing troubles mouse.

every time click, click registered multiple times.

when playing 0ad , selecting troops found after clicking , dragging, click registered @ end, meaning tree or single troop selected, not entire group.

opening new tab in chrome gamble, 1 3 new tabs.

creating , selling trains in open ttd, got 3 engines instead of one, , 6 carriages in 2 clicks, when wanted five. selling them lost me more wanted.

means when selecting text, navigating menus, playing games, listening music, have try repeatedly these simple tasks.

have searched forum , noticed posts years ago, different hardware/.

have not @ point tried different mouse, or operating system. if thinks work, happily switch short while.

appreciated.

dash home - type mouse - open mouse settings , adjust accordingly... there should double click test.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
