Thread: need some help loading a video adapter.

i have displaylink usb video adapter, got device work linux setting xorg.conf file.

there 2 problems have it.

one, not load default during bootup. on config file said in /dev/fb0 , mesg said usb adapter in /dev/fb1, , when change config file in /dev/fb1, mesg says adapter in /dev/fb0. happens time, no matter how many times try it. have manually start x server work, way fix this?

second, snice driver not support dragging windows between screen. how start program in different screen?


using ubuntu 11.10

2 weeks , no reply?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
