Thread: no wireless on clean install, Realtek RTL8192CU

i did clean install of kubuntu 11.10. i'm coming ubuntu 10.10, wireless working fine.

lsusb shows rtl8188cus is there. can see wireless routers in neighborhood, can't connect. hang on "configuring interface."

appreciated.

with pc shut down, plug in usb wireless card.

startup make sure wireless enabled, open terminal , run this

code:
nm-tool
highlight, copy , paste terminal output here after hitting enter.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
