Thread: Not able to copy to pendrive as normal user


hi,

not able copy files pendrive normal user. everytime need login root , copy files pendrive. tried change owner of pendrive user(non root) logging in now. used command chown currentusername /media/sdc1 .but got error saying " chown: changing ownership of `/media/sdc1/': operation not permitted". please help...

how pendrive formatted?

if fat32, default, should mount when inserted , mount folder in /media yours automatically. perhaps have formatted ntfs, or 1 of linux filesystems?
