Thread: Recommended VNC server?

i set vnc server on lubuntu, can access main machine, xubuntu. far have tried tightvncserver, no luck. cannot running/working. suppose doesn't there doesn't seem lot of documentation on how install , run it.

can recommend vnc server easy use , install on lxde + being lightweight?

please post configuration settings. such ports opened, port rdp'ing from, etc. also, os , version on host machine , machine trying rdp into. and, either server dhcp configured? i'll step out , let experts though

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
