Thread: Scientific Linux any good when put up against Lubuntu, Fedora, RHEL, or Crunchbang?

hey guys! found out scientific linux, free clone of rhel, , asking, how stack against likes of rhel, fedora, lubuntu, or crunchbang? mean looks pretty sweet , all, still.

also, little curious midnightbsd well, along openindiana.

scientific linux great choice if you're looking older, stable, well-tested software. comparable ubuntu 10.04 lts or debian stable in terms of age-of-packages. run on work computer.

if looking newer software in rpm-based distro fedora better choice.

think there live cd available if you'd take test drive...

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
