InDesign CS5.5 is not responding in Mac OS 10.8

i got new macbook pro os 10.8. old macbook pro had 10.6 , running adobe cs5 no issues. on new computer, can't indesign work. (the rest of suite operating fine.) have tried reinstalling, repairing permissions, reducing fonts (though not way down system fonts). indesign open becomes non-responsive once open new document , click on anything. use font book.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
