Thread: Bluetooth File Transfer Issues

greetings,

hope bluetooth conversations welcome here, if not please let me know , can arrange re-classify this.

in ubuntu 11.04 seem remember being able select default folder bluetooth file transfers. in 11.10 preferences not expose option, @ least not can find. direct me defined, config file, or otherwise?

secondly, transfer lot of files, , not able browse phone inside ubuntu (which problem don't think worthy of fixing @ moment). have start file transfers phone. right now, after every file gets transferred popup box , 'ding'. quite annoying when transferring dozens of files... i'd bit dirty in code , change use notifiers , disable ding. can me package manages aspect of bluetooth transfer?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
