hi everybody

i'm sure questions stupid questions, i'm stack. work ubuntu 10.04 on labtop and, far remember, during installation asked french language. but, if indeed see french text, of menus in english

first question : normal ?

woul'd connect computer wifi. have connection when work on labtop windows, under ubuntu no connection available. looked in , got this

click network manager icon in system notification area.
under wireless networks click on network want connect to.

second question : can network manager ?

stupid isn't ?

network manager little thing 2 arrows (up , down) if not connected. click on it, , select network. need know wep key, usually. alternatively, can in "network connections" under menu (probably "system").

ideally, should french everywhere. applications developed in english, i'm afraid it's not perfect. have checked language settings?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
