Thread: connecting xbox and using wireless broadband

hey all.

got hopefuly easy issue fix here, have done lot of reading people connecting xbox ubuntu , working, ofcourse me doesnt.

using latest ubuntu release (11.0 or something)
have wireless broadband connected via usb dongle
xbox 360 connected via ethernet crossover cable

ive had working in windows 7 hardware isnt issue.

heres ive done far

first of all, internet works fine before messing around, im using now.
ive gone network manager @ top right , edited connections, , under "wired" tab, under ipv4 settings of connection, chosen "shared other computers"
ive gone /etc/resolv.config file , copied dns addresses xbox dns instead of set automatic.

else had internet work on xbox, me, when test xbox live connection says connected network doesnt connect internet.

also, dont know if has relation problem when plug in xbox ethernet cable, theres box @ top right of screen says "wired network, connection established" , 2 seconds later says "disconnected" , repeats every 2 seconds, connected, disconnected, connected, disconnected etc etc.

ideas?

because im using wireless broadband usb dongle?
